As Wales’ independent commissioners for Children and for Future Generations we have distinct roles but common interests. We want to enable public bodies to put children’s rights to be safe, healthy and to flourish here and now at the centre of their planning and delivery. We also want to ensure that they plan for the long-term – for the rest of the lives of children living in their communities now, and for future generations still unborn.

Involving Children

  • How will you capture the qualitative/subjective experience of children’s well-being?
  • How will you involve children in developing your project/well-being objective and the steps you intend to take to maximise your contribution to the UNCRC and seven Well-being Goals?
  • How will you involve children in allocating and setting budgets/resources to the well-being objective/project?
  • How will you involve children in evaluating and scrutinising the success of your project/well-being objective?
